About MySines
MySines is an application that lets you define what feelings and actions you would like to track over time. Each day you edit how you are feeling and select what actions have occurred along with any thoughts you may have. You feelings are then graphed over time on a calendar along with what actions occurred. This graphical format allows you to explore correlations and relationships that may exists between what you do and how you feel. You can filter what feelings and actions are displayed to help in spotting any patterns that may exist.
Define Actions & Feelings to Track
Define what feelings and actions you would like to track. Feelings are things that range between a high/low values. Feelings can be Pain, Happiness, Strength, Hunger or any feeling that you may experience. Actions are true/false items that you may or may not perform in a given day. Each action and feeling can be assigned one of 16 colors that will appear on the calendar.
Enter Today's Actions and Feelings Values
Tap on a day to record you feelings and actions that you have defined. You can also enter any thoughts that you may have this day. Viewing a single day is accomplished by pinch-zoom-in gesture to view the current day and pinch-zoom-out gesture to return to the calendar. In both the calendar and day view you can swipe left/right to view the prior and next month/day. Swiping up/down will take you to the prior and next year/week. The today button will take you back to today's date.
View & Filter on Calendar
Your feelings, actions and thoughts are charted on the calendar in their respective colors. Actions appear as color icons at the bottom of each day. Days that do not contain any values may chart feelings as dotted lines between dates that do contain values.
Feelings and Actions can be filtered from the calendar by selecting them from the filter list. Days of the week can also be highlighted by the day of week toolbar buttons.
Looking for Patterns - As you use MySines to track your feelings and actions over time, you may discover correlations between your actions and feelings. Using the filter and the day-of-week highlighting you can play with the display to help find patterns of the life that may exist.
What to Track
Feelings - Happiness, strength, pain, sleepiness, sadness, anger or any type of feeling or aspect of your life that can be recorded as a range values. Range values can be numeric "0" to "100" or arbitrary values like happiness that can range from "very sad" to "very happy". Each feeling should be assigned a different color to tell them apart.
Actions - Took a shower, when running, took medication, ate a salad, drank a soda, socialized or any actions that you can or may do during the day. These are yes/no, true/false type of actions that you can track. Each action should be assigned a different color to tell them apart.
Thoughts - Notes can be entered for each date that is tracked. When finding a correlation you can review your thoughts for those days.
